Sometimes you need to remind yourself you have your own free will. So after work on Friday I decided to book a suite for me and the girls at The Treasury Brisbane.

Why? Because why not?

In the words of the girls…. ‘it’s giving Italy’ and they’re not wrong.

Built between 1886 and 1928 in a Neo-Italianate style, a 19th-century revival of 16th-century Italian Renaissance architecture.

Our verdict? We all enjoyed feeling like we were somewhere else.

To me it was just absolutely classic, and like me, more than a tad vintage. I honestly loved it. I recommend a 90s movie playlist, BYO some candles and a Billie Holiday playlist.

Starting our weekend in style, we decided to eat breakfast for dinner, there were dance routines made and doodles drawn. Ultimate relaxation time and lots of talks of what the history, and future of this building, might be.

Nights like these make me feel like I’ve turned up the saturation on life.
